The Pennsylvania Department of Education recognizes the unique features of early childhood classrooms and teaching practice. Therefore, the department convened a committee of educators to develop early childhood examples to supplement the use of the Danielson Framework in early childhood classrooms. This page contains the Danielson Framework rubric with the examples and guiding questions they developed for early childhood teachers.
In addition, the department convened eleven other committees to develop examples for the rubric for other unique teaching roles such as teachers with Autistic, MDS, and Life Skills; Career and Technical Education Teachers; Emotional Support Teachers; English as Second Language Teachers.
